Translate Foreign Text Live In Android

Live translators take translation apps to the next level because they use your camera to analyze foreign text and translate it right in front of your eyes. Early last year, Google purchased Quest Visual, acquiring the immensely popular augmented reality translator app Word Lens in the process. It shaves some time off of having to type it all in especially for large chunks of text. While Google did put the feature on the Google Glass, they spoke more about implementing Word Lens into their Translate app sometime in the future.

Google Translate is a free multilingual machine translation service developed by Google, to translate text, speech, images, sites, or real-time video from one language into another. On 2016 in the month of November, Google announced that Google Translate would switch to a neural machine translation engine which translates whole sentences at a time, rather than just piece by piece. Google Translate’s latest update brings Word Lens’ live translations to your Android and iOS device. Voice translation has been available as part of the Android version of the Google Translate app since the back end of 2013. Google Translate acquired WordLens, one of the pioneers in live camera translators.
